The «Edison Workshop,» a series of master classes focused on programming and robotics for ICT teachers in secondary schools, was successfully organized in collaboration with the American Embassy in Tashkent.
Conducted at IT-Park, the training sessions were facilitated by STEAM education trainer and specialist Allan Miller from «Stem4learning» (USA). The participants, comprised of ICT teachers from public schools, engaged in a comprehensive exploration of various methodologies for conducting meaningful and engaging ICT lessons. The curriculum covered the fundamentals of programming languages such as «EdScratch,» «EduBlocks,» «EdPy,» «Python,» and «Edison-Loops,» along with insights into robot control systems.
Through hands-on practical training, the teachers delved deep into the concepts of robotics and programming. They not only gained a profound understanding of these subjects but also became acquainted with effective methods for incorporating these skills into their professional activities. As a tangible outcome of their participation, all attendees were generously provided with their own personal Edison robots.
This collaborative initiative not only enriched the skill set of ICT teachers but also fostered a dynamic learning environment, promoting the integration of cutting-edge technologies into the educational landscape.
